Recently on Sunday 4th June, the Australian Shelby Registry Members were invited by Mustang Motorsport to organise a Shelby display at their premises. We, had 18 Shelbys on display which was a great effort from the Shelby owners which included two new Shelby owners who submitted their details on the Australian Shelby Registry. We, had the opportunity to promote the Australian Shelby Registry and the Victorian Mustang Club as well with our Shelby banners. I organised a 'Best Presented Shelby' trophy which Brian James won for his great looking 1966 Shelby Hertz. All in all, it was a fantastic day which also saw Darryll and Colleen Ashby (Qld State Shelby Reps) pick up their beautiful New Black Shelby from Mustang Motorsport. Thanks to Craig, James and Matt from Mustang Motorsport for the invitation to the Australian Shelby Registry Members, looking foward to next year's event.

It was that time of the year for the Easter Mustang Nationals which incorporate a Shelby Display organised at Wollongong, New South Wales. After the success of the last Mustang Nationals at Newcastle, i was not disappointed at this year's event which was bathed in beautiful sunshine over four days of Mustang activities. Friday night of Easter was the Meet and Greet dinner at the Sage Hotel where most of the Mustang members were staying over the weekend. The next day on Saturday was judging part of the show which there were some nervous Mustang owners biting their finger nails while their Mustangs were being judged. Dinner arrangements for Saturday night was located at the Function Centre about 2 kms up the road from the Sage Hotel. Saturday night's theme was Nautical which saw some weird and wonderful costumes worn by the Mustang Members, it was a hilarious night filled with laughter. Early morning rise for the Mustang Nationals Show at Lang Park which was organised on the foreshore. Thanks to Craig Dean from Mustang Motorsport, i drove up from Melbourne in one of his Shelbys which was one of the first Shelbys on the grassed area at the event. Slowly but surely, the Shelbys were starting to come through the gates to the Shelby display which Brian McAllister had organised next to the Mustang Motorsport display which worked hand in hand and complimented each other. The Shelby display looked great and well organised by Brian and assisted by the State Shelby Reps and the Mustang Motorsport Team. Overall, there were about 15 Shelbys on display with others scattered around the concours area. By 3pm the event was all over and it was time to head back to the hotel to prepare for the presentation dinner which was an enjoyable evening especially for the winners of all the Mustang categories. Congratulations to the N.S.W. Mustang Nationals Committee on a well organised event. Also, well done to Brian McAllister in organising a fantastic Shelby Display which i know takes alot of time in preparing such a display. Thanks to the Australian State Shelby Reps for assisting in the Shelby Display, M.O.C.A. - S.A.A.C. and the Shelby owners for their support. Last but not least, thanks to Craig Dean from Mustang Motorsport for his fantastic support for the Australian Shelby Registry "Shelby Display" Looking foward to the next Mustang Nationals at Perth, Western Australia next year.

It was that time of the year for the annual American Motoring Show at Flemington. At last year's show, the weather was overcast with showers but this year's show did start with a shower but it was good to see the sun shining shortly after. The numbers were slightly down due to the weather and other car shows on at the same time but the Victorian Mustang Club incorporating the Australian Shelby Registry display was a great sight to see. There, was a steady flow of Mustangs as well a nice display of Shelbys which looked fantastic. At the end of the day, the Victorian Mustang Club won the 'Best Club Display' which is a back to back win, great team effort. Thanks to the Australian Shelby Registry Members for their support and well done to our fantastic looking display, looking foward to next year's event.

Although the weather was very ordinary last Sunday 19th February at the 2017 All Ford Day at Geelong, we all had a great day with great friends. The number of cars was down due to the inclement weather but the spirits of the patrons were high. It was the first time, i had taken the Shelby to this annual Ford Day at Geelong which was a fair effort on radial tyres on a 200 kilometre round trip, an interesting drive but a pleasant one at that.  At the end of the day, The Australian Shelby Registry and The Victorian Mustang Club was well represented in the judged classes of Mustang with awards presented to Ron Cremona for the Best Late Model Mustang, Dorothy Cremona for the Runner Up for the 67-73 Mustang and Myself for the Best 67-73 Mustang. Our awards were presented to us by 4 Ford Racing Legends in John Bowe, Dick Johnson, Alan Moffat and Fred Gibson, a great day for all involved.
