As an Motorclassica Advisory Board Member and the Australian Shelby Registrar, i ceased the opportunity to organise an eight car Shelby Display when asked by the director at the most prestigious indoor automobile car display in Australia named Motorclassica Concours D'elegance. This indoor vehicle display is organised annually and is consisted of pre-war and post war vehicles, vintage and vetren motorbikes and classic vehicles organised in a heritage listed building in Melbourne. So, when i was asked to assemble eight fine examples of Shelbys within the country it wasn't too difficult as i knew the quality of Shelbys and their owners within the Australian Shelby Registry. The Shelbys which i selected were Joe Calleja's '65 Shelby GT-350, Jim Janikis's '65 Shelby GT-350 (Race car). Darryll Ashby's (Qld Shelby Rep.) Black '66 Shelby GT-350, Ross Pino's White/Gold Stripe '66 Shelby Hertz GT-350, Nez Demaj's (Australian Shelby Registrar) Green '67 Shelby GT-500, Fred Pascale's (S.A. Shelby Rep.) Blue '68 Shelby GT-500 KR, Vince Cutri's Royal Maroon '69 Shelby GT-350 and Craig Dean's Red 2015 Prototype Shelby GT. Over the weekend, i had the opportunity to present a Shelby promotional speeches on the centre stage with my State Shelby Reps to promote the Shelby Movement in Australia, Australian Shelby Registry and S.A.A.C. which drew quite abit of interest within the audience attending this event. Fred Pascale with his Blue '68 Shelby GT-500KR received top honours in the Shelby Judged Classes. Overall, it was a great display of Shelbys within this beautiful heritage building. Thanks to Motorclassica for the opportunity to display the Shelbys, Australian State Shelby Representatives, John Luca (W.A.) Fred Pascale (S.A.) Darryll Ashby (Qld) Brian Mc.Allister (N.SW.) Shelby Owners who presented their vehicles, S.A.A.C. and the Australian Mustang Club for their support.

It was that time of the year for the annual Australian Shelby Nationals which is incorporated with the Victorian Mustang Round-up in Melbourne on Sunday 25th October which was on the same weekend as the annual Motorclassica Concours D'elegance "Shelby Display". So, together with the Australian State Shelby Representatives we were organising, representing and promoting the Australian Shelby Movement at two major car events which was a great opportunity. At this event, the Victorian Mustang Round-up/Shelby Nationals, there were 12 Shelbys from 1966 to 2013 and 500 plus Mustangs on display. It was a fantastic day of Shelbys and Mustangs for all to enjoy on the day. Thanks to the Australian State Shelby Representatives, John Luca (W.A.)  Fred Pascale (S.A.)  Darryll Ashby (Qld)  Brian Mc.Allister (N.S.W.) for their assistance, Shelby Owners who presented their vehicles, S.A.A.C. -  Australian Mustang Club, Victorian Mustang Club and Mustang Motorsport for their support.

After a successful Shelby Display last year, we were invited again to this year's event which was bathed in sunshine. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Shelby, this year's Shelby display received a prime position in front of the main grandstand on the concours area. We, assembeld the Shelbys in the specific area, early in the day and then we enjoyed a great day of classic car racing and also the classic car displays. Past race car driving legends such as Bob Jane and Fred Gibson were on hand for autographs. Overall, it was another magical day at the race track enjoying the sounds of the race cars and the classic car displays. Thanks to Richard from Sandown for the invitation, Shelby Owners and Mustang Motorsport who displayed their vehicles, looking foward to next year's event.

The day started with a light shower and looked to be the setting for the day however the rain stopped and allowed the historic race cars to have some great racing. The Shelby Boys put on a good display of racing as well. As this event was on Father's day the number cars was low but we had 13 cars on display with a few not being authentic, however very presentable clones. There was also other classic cars of all makes on display in a different area of the circuit. Around midday we drove around the circuit for a display lap which was well received by the crowd. Apart from the wether all that attended had an excellent day .

After two attempts early in this year to organise the Flemington American Motoring Show in Melbourne due to bad weather, third time lucky and it was a fantastic sunny day which many unique and great looking classic cars attended this major event. As far as the Shelby display, there were 8 Shelbys on display which was great to see. The numbers were slightly down from last year due to so many car shows organised on the same day but this did not take anything away from this nice display of Shelbys. There was quite a bit of interest regarding the Shelbys on display which is always good to promote the cars and especially the Shelby Movement in Australia whenever possible.

A beautiful day greeted us at the Adelaide Mustang Nationals on Sunday 4th April. As early as 8am, there were over 150 Mustangs and 6 Shelbys on display which was a great start to a fantastic day. Craig and Robyn Dean from Mustang Motorsport were there nice and early as well displaying their Shelbys and their recently converted Mustangs which looked great next the Shelby Display. On the grassed area, there was a great variety of Mustangs from the early years to the later and sleeker styled Bosses, Shelbys and Saleens. They, all looked great in different colours and their unique styling especially on a perfect day for all to enjoy. Overall, there were 10 Shelbys and over 200+ Mustangs on display. It's a credit to the owners and the South Australian Mustang Owners Club and their committee. Thanks to Fred Pascale for his Shelby organising efforts and also to the other State Shelby Reps who attended and assisted on the day. Also, thanks to Craig and Robyn Dean from Mustang Motorsport for their ongoing support at the Mustang Nationals, looking foward to Queensland next year.

Last Sunday at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria, the Phillip Island Classic was organised once again on a beautiful day. There were more Classic Cars in attendence then the previous year.

The Shelby Boys were racing around the track on all 3 days with good results in their standings. The Shelbys looked great out on the track drawing quite abit of attention from the huge crowd. During the event on Sunday 8th March, i was invited to drive my friend's 2009 Shelby GT-500 KR which was powered by a 540HP 6 Speed drivetrain around the the circuit as a parade lap. It was quite an experience driving around this great circuit with other Shelby and Mustang Owners and enjoying the the views next to the ocean. Overall, i enjoyed a fantastic day surrounded by Shelbys and good friends, quite an enjoyable experience.

Thankyou to all of the Shelby Owners and Craig & Robyn Dean from Mustang Motorsport.
